There are three basic steps that you need to take in order to get icons and illustrations:

  1. Sign up

  2. Search for content

  3. Checkout

1. Where to start

Create an account on Iconfinder. Once you have created an account, there is a lot of content waiting to be discovered. You can search for icons and illustrations using keywords or you can browse the different styles and categories.

2. Search for content

Type the keywords in the search field on the homepage.

Refine the results: use the filter menu on the left to select between paid content or free content, filter by format, style, and license type. If you are not sure what format to use: What file format is suitable for my intended use?

Add to collections: When you click on a product you can see more information about it. You can save the content that you like for finding it later by clicking Save to Collection button. All content you have bookmarked can be found under the Collections tab. Read more about Collections here.

Your Account is the place to find your Order history and your Transactions

Access your Downloads and content Collections from the dropdown menu under your gravatar.

3. Checkout: Pay-as-you-go or Subscribe?

When you have found the products that you need, you can click on the Add to cart button for each product and they will be added to your shopping cart. You can do so when clicking on a the product in the search results or from the Icon details page.

Once you have finished adding content to your shopping cart, you can proceed to checkout. For that, click on Proceed to Checkout button. You can pay with credit card, Paypal or with your account balance.  The system will automatically ask you to make a prepayment. The more money you prepay, the bigger bonus you'll get.

Pro subscriptions

Another way to get access to icons and illustrations is subscriptions. Subscriptions are monthly auto-renewing plans which give access to download a number of products. See the available subscriptions here.

Subscriptions work with credits. Credits are Iconfinder's own currency and are used to download unique products. You will be able to see how many credits each product costs before downloading. You will receive new credits every month. Read more about credits.

  • Pro Micro: $9/ month for 10 credits. Unused credits will roll over for the next month. It is a single-user plan.

  • Pro Standard: $19 /month for 50 credits. Unused credits will roll over for the next month. You can also add up to 5 team members to your plan.

  • Pro Ultimate: $49 /month for 500 credits. Unused credits will roll over for the next month. You can also add up to 50 team members to your plan.

You can choose to subscribe annually and get 2 months for free. Just check the annual billing option on the checkout page.

All unused credits are rolled over for the following month, unless the subscription is cancelled. If you cancel, the remaining credits will be available only until the subscription expires (that is, the last day of the period you paid for). On the expiry date, the unused credits will expire too. Read more about Roll-over credits.

Before using the products, make sure to check out their license agreement. To learn more about licenses available on Iconfinder, check this License overview.
